Brothers Christian and Timmy Lopes, graduates of Huntington Beach Edison, are living their dreams. Both are in the minor leagues.

Timmy signed for $550,000 last month after being a sixth-round draft pick of the Seattle Mariners. He’s in Arizona. Christian signed for $800,000 last year with the Bluejays after being a seventh-round pick. He’s playing in the Appalachian League.

Since Christian signed for more money, he’ll get to pay for lunch when the two brothers meet in their first game one day.
