It’s never boring when City Section baseball powers Chatsworth and Woodland Hills El Camino Real meet, and they’re scheduled to play on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Chatsworth in a Valley Invitational Baseball League game.

Chatsworth is Valley North during the summer and El Camino Real is Woodland Hills West. Both schools have been using young players, but the playoffs begin a week from Saturday, and that’s when the first stringers should be ready to go.

El Camino Real hasn’t used All-City pitchers Luke Laurita or Owen Perry very much during the summer but both could see action in the playoffs.

Austin Peters, a junior pitcher-infielder, has been a big summer contributor for Chatsworth, along with All-City first baseman Chris DeVito.
