Softball: Norco's Emily Lockman is Gatorade state player of the year

Pitcher Emily Lockman of Norco has been named the Gatorade state player of the year in softball.

She led the Cougars to the Southern Section Division 1 championship. She went 31-2 with an 0.35 ERA. She also hit .389 with four home runs. She has maintained a 3.95 grade-point average and signed with Nebraska.
