Former Newhall Hart pitcher Trevor Bauer has been the best pitcher in minor-league baseball and he may finally get his first start in the major leagues on Thursday for the Arizona Diamondbacks against the Braves.

He could be brought up from Triple-A Reno to replace the injured Joe Saunders.

Bauer was the No. 5 pick overall in the 2011 draft out of UCLA. He’s 11-1 with a 2.23 ERA.
