Linebacker Aaron Porter of La Habra is one of the UCLA’s top football recruits, but Bruins baseball Coach John Savage said Porter is definitely invited to play baseball for the Bruins.

Porter, an outfielder, hit eight home runs this season. With UCLA having three outfielders drafted this week, Porter and Mater Dei’s Ty Moore could be contenders to start next spring.

Of course, Porter’s first focus will be on football this fall. He had not been taken in the first 15 rounds of the draft.
