Boys' basketball: Pasadena tunes up for Loyola showdown

The best opening game of the Fairfax tournament on Monday night figures to be Pasadena taking on Loyola at 8:30 p.m.

Pasadena won the War on the Floor tournament on Sunday, defeating Alemany, 63-58. Guard Ajon Efferson scored 22 points and Andre Spight, a transfer from Burbank, had 19 points.

The Pasadena-Loyola matchup will feature a dynamic duel at point guard between juniors Efferson and Parker Cartwright of Loyola.

Action begins at 4 p.m. at Fairfax, with St. John Bosco facing Chaminade.
