Boys’ basketball: It’s a Long Beach Poly-Pasadena final in Fairfax tourney

Long Beach Poly fought off a determined Woodland Hills El Camino Real, and Pasdena routed Studio City Harvard-Westlake to set up an intriguing championship game in the Fairfax tournament.

Poly came back from a 12-point deficit to defeat the Conquistadores, 69-63. Roschon Prince scored 22 points. Julian Richardson had 20 points for El Camino Real, which led by eight at halftime.

Pasadena defeated Harvard-Westlake, 85-65. Perris Hicks scored 22 points, Andre Spight 20 and Ajon Efferson 18. Pasadena’s guards figure to give Poly lots of trouble in Saturday’s 6 p.m. championship game. Harvard-Westlake will play El Camino Real in the 4:30 p.m. third-place game.

In consolation games, Alemany defeated Crespi, 85-84, in overtime. Bear Henderson scored 19 points for Alemany. London Perrantes had 33 points and freshman Max Heidegger had 29 points for Crespi.

Mater Dei defeated Orange Lutheran, 79-53. Fairfax defeated Chaminade, 71-62. Loyola defeated St. John Bosco.
