Basketball: The SoCal connection with Mike Dunlap

Mike Dunlap, set to become the coach of the Charlotte Bobcats, made a huge impact during his five years as coach at Cal Lutheran in the 1990s in terms of former players moving on to the coaching profession.

His former pupils who turned to coaching include Russell White (Crespi), Bryan Cantwell (ex-Chaminade coach), Jeff Young (ex-Chaminade coach), Travis Showalter (ex-Rancho Verde coach), Chris Dunbar (Eagle Rock) and Derrick Clark (Metro State College).
