Baseball: Rio Ruiz negotiations continue
It still could go either way whether former La Puente Bishop Amat infielder Rio Ruiz ends up at USC or signs with the Houston Astros.
He was a fourth-round draft pick and has an important doctor's appointment on Thursday when he hopes to be cleared to resume playing after being sidelined following a procedure to remove a blood clot last March.
Rudy Ruiz, Rio's father, said, "We're trying to make it work," regarding negotiations with the Astros.
