Baseball: Cody Thompson is headed to San Diego State

Cody Thompson of Mission Hills Alemany, one of the best pitchers in the Mission League the last two seasons, has committed to San Diego State. He graduated this month.

He outpitched first-round draft pick Lucas Giolito of Harvard-Westlake in defeating the Wolverines in March.
