Track: Rashard Clark is the star for Dorsey

Dorsey won its 15th City Section championship in boys’ track on Wednesday at Birmingham, and Rashard Clark was the standout.

Clark, who played tight end for the football team and was a member of the City runner-up basketball team, won the 200 (21.74) and 400 (47.54) and ran legs on Dorsey’s two winning relay teams.

Dorsey had 115 points. Second-place Carson had 62.

Dorsey’s Te’von Mitchell won the 300 hurdles (39.13). Palisades’ Grant Stromberg won the 3,200 in 9:28.03.

Palisades won the girls’ title, with the key event a 1-2-4 finish in the high jump, led by Kendall Gustafson, who won at 5-4. Palisades had 81 points and Carson had 63.

Lexis Lambert of Taft won the 100 (12.03) and 200 (25.09).
