Track: Randy Uzoma leads 100 qualifiers at City Section prelims

Football standout Randy Uzoma of Canoga Park ran the 100 meters in 10.98 seconds on Thursday to lead qualifiers at the City Section prelims at Birmingham. The championships are set for Wednesday night at Birmingham.

Reggie Bell of Dorsey ran the 110 hurdles in 14.70. Anthony Fowler of Taft qualified first in the 400 in 47.99. San Pedro's Brandon Towns ran the 800 in 1:56.79.

In the girls' competition, Taft's Lexis Lambert had the best times in the 100 (12.30) and 200 (25.05).
