Dorsey athletes are coming through with big performances at the City Section track and field championships in trying to propel the Dons to a 15th title in the boys’ competition at Birmingham High.

Rashard Clark won the 400 in 47.54 and also anchored the 4 x 100 relay team to victory in 41.64. Reginald Bell led a Dorsey 1-2-3 sweep in the 110 hurdles in 14.69. Marcus Eggleston tied Franklin’s Joshua Taylor in the long jump at 22-3, but Eggleston got the win based on a better second jump, according to the final results released to the media. But on Thursday, the City confirmed Taylor was the winner because of the better mark on his second jump. .
