Softball: Carson is No. 1 seed in City Section playoffs

Carson has been given the No. 1 seed in the City Section championship division softball playoffs and will open against Marshall on May 16. The championship game is May 30 at UCLA.
El Camino Real is No. 2, Banning No. 3 and Granada Hills No. 4.
Pairings: Marshall at Carson, San Fernando at Chatsworth, Westchester at Lincoln, Palisades at Granada Hills, Verdugo Hills at Banning, Birmingham at Kennedy, Poly at San Pedro, Bell at El Camino Real.
