San Diego Torrey Pines finished first, Santa Margarita second and Fresno Clovis West third at the CIF/SCGA Southern California championships on Thursday at Brookside Golf Course.

Venice finished sixth in a good showing from the City Section champion.

Bryson DeChambeau of Clovis East was the individual champion after firing a 6-under 66. Reilly McMahon of Righetti took second with a 67 and Johnny Ruiz of Camarillo had a 68. Alex Angard of Viewpoint shot a 70, the same score as Santa Margarita's Beau Hossler.

There were 124 golfers for the one-day event, with the top nine individuals and top three teams advancing to the state championships June 6 at San Gabriel Country Club.
