Venice is the favorite to win the City Section golf championship on Monday at Wilson Golf Course.
The defending individual champion is Troix Tonkham of Sherman Oaks CES. He’s headed to Fresno State and will try to become a repeat champion.
One of the best players this season has been freshman Justin Chong of the new opened Valley Academy of the Arts & Sciences in Granada Hills. He could become the first to win a championship for his new school that goes by the nickname, the Vipers.
