Golf: Beau Hossler shoots 65, leads Santa Margarita to team title

The Southern Section has produced some outstanding golfers through the years, and junior Beau Hossler of Santa Margarita is the latest.

He shot a 6-under 65 on Thursday at Rancho San Marcos in Santa Barbara to lead Santa Margarita to the Ford Southern Section team championship.

Long Beach Wilson placed second. Chase Nicoli and Andrew Morgan shot 70. Great Oak was third and Santa Barbara also qualified for the SCGA High School Championships on May 31 at Brookside Golf Course.
