Greg Biggins from Scout.com is reporting in a Tweet that Oaks Christian is expected to announce the hiring of UTEP assistant Jeff Woodruff as its new coach.

Oaks Christian Athletic Director Jan Hethcock said everyone will find out when the coach is introduced at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

Woodruff has been coaching at the college level for more than 30 years and was once head coach at Eastern Michigan.

His hiring would be considered somewhat of a surprise, because the Lions would be passing over long-time assistant Mark Bates.
