Football: Huntington Park coach resigns to take over new program

Leroy Wilson has resigned as football coach at Huntington Park to take over the program at a nearby new Los Angeles Unified School District high school that will open this fall and begin football in 2013.

‘I’m moving forward,’ he said.

Wilson has been Huntington Park’s coach for 13 years. Lots of Huntington Park students are expected to switch to the new high school, Linda Esperanza Marquez High School, when it opens in August. It’s located in Huntington Park.
