Jason Hart, who guided Taft to the City Section Division I championship in his only season as coach, has resigned to become an assistant at Pepperdine.

Hart’s one-year appearance is no surprise. He said his goal was to become a college assistant. He’s a former NBA player who took over the program when Derrick Taylor resigned to become the coach at Bellflower St. John Bosco.
