What a season it has been for Newbury Park right-hander Luke Eubank, who threw his third no-hitter of the season on Tuesday in a 4-0 victory over Agoura in a Marmonte League game.

Eubank struck out six and walked none. Agoura had only one baserunner on an error. He earlier had no-hitters against Loyola and Calabasas. He improved his record to 8-0 and helped the Panthers (10-3) pull within a game of first-place Agoura (11-2) with one to play.

Last week, Eubank came out of the game early against Westlake and had an MRI after concerns about his arm. Coach Matt Goldfield said a technician told Eubank he had a torn labrum. ‘He thought he was done,’ Goldfield said.

But Goldfield said the MRI was misinterpreted by the technician, and Eubank was cleared by his doctor to pitch Tuesday.

In other Marmonte games, Simi Valley defeated Moorpark, 7-0. Spencer Dubaich threw the shutout and struck out seven. Thousand Oaks defeated Calabasas, 4-1. Royal defeated Westlake, 7-2.
