One of the hottest pitchers in the Southland is Burbank’s Daniel Starkand. On Wednesday, he ended Arcadia’s 41-game Pacific League winning streak by throwing a complete game in the Bulldogs’ 3-0 victory.

It was his fifth complete game in the Pacific League and he hasn’t allowed an earned run in 35 innings. He struck out three and walked none. He allowed seven hits.

Earlier in the week, Starkand picked Chapman University as his college choice. He’ll be teammates with Arcadia ace Erik Trask, who also committed to Chapman.
