Baseball: Chatsworth takes 1-0 lead over San Fernando

An RBI single by Scott Voets in the first inning on a 3-and-2 count has given Chatsworth a 1-0 lead over San Fernando in the City Section Division I semifinal at USC.

San Fernando had two runners thrown out trying to steal in the first inning while wasting a single, walk and hit batter.

Jared Holley led off the game for Chatsworth with a single and moved to second on a throwing error. He was driven in by a Voets hit up the middle against Alonzo Garcia.

Update: Chatsworth still leads, 1-0, going into top of fourth. Steven Campos of San Fernando lined into a double play in the third with a runner on second.
