Baseball: Chaminade protest is denied

After losing its Southern Section Division 2 playoff opener on Thursday, West Hills Chaminade filed a protest with the Southern Section office alleging Mission Viejo had engaged in illegal batting practice before the game.
The protest was denied on Friday.
Mark Keppel forfeited its Division 3 wild-card playoff victory over Hawthorne because of an inelgibile player. Hawthorne will play Elsinore on Saturday at Elsinore.
