Baseball: Agoura gets two victories

o Making up for rainouts at the San Luis Obispo tournament, Agoura (20-3-1) played two games on Saturday and won both times.

The Chargers defeated St. Bonaventure, 3-0. Albee Weiss had two hits and two RBIs. Justin Cana threw four shutout innings, striking out four. Agoura also defeated San Luis Obispo, 6-2. Garrett Giovanelli went three for three. Brody Fehmel had a two-run double.

Harvard-Westlake improved to 21-3-1 with a 6-3 victory over Narbonne. Arden Pabst had two hits. The Wolverines will try to wrap up the Mission League title and a No. 1 seed for the Southern Section Division 2 playoffs by playing Loyola in a two-game series Tuesday and Thursday.

Los Alamitos split a doubleheader with Capistrano Valley, winning the first game, 4-3, and losing the second game, 8-5.

Verdugo Hills defeated Cleveland, 7-6, in eight innings. Brandon Zavala drove in the winning run. Ray Carranza went four for four. Joe Armstrong hit a home run.

Palm Desert defeated Thousand Oaks, 7-6, to win for the ninth time in the last 10 games. John Schuknecht had two hits. Brooks Kriske had two RBIs.

Chatsworth defeated Westlake, 7-3. Jared Holley, Scott Voets and Justin Vega had two hits apiece.
