This is the first big weekend of travel basketball, with tournaments at Cal State Dominguez Hills and Las Vegas. And so begins the wooing and convincing process for high school players.

If you want one player in Southern California who much focus will be on, it’s Crespi’s London Perrantes, a senior-to-be point guard with scholarship offers from USC, Arizona State, San Francisco, Pepperdine and St. Mary’s.

At the end of the summer, there are many people predicting Perrantes will be even more in demand.

But the off season begins with Perrantes ‘very wide open’ about his college intentions, according to Coach Russell White.

‘He’s just going to play this summer and see what’s on the table,’ White said.

Perrantes is playing for Double Pump Elite 2013 that’s coached by El Camino Real’s David Rebibo.

Recruiters will be watching to see his development, just like dozens of other players trying to make progress on and off the court.
