Basketball: Battle of the Valley is set for Saturday

The top senior basketball players in the San Fernando Valley will duel on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Pierce College in the Battle of the Valley.

Leading the boys' game from the West team, coached by Canyon's Chad Phillips, are Taft's Anthony January, Brandon Perry and Steven Jones, Canyon's Clay Kasdorf and Coley Apsay and Calabasas' Holden Israel and Josh Cohan.

Leading the East team, coached by Alemany's Tray Meeks, are Alemany's Marqueze Coleman, Max Guercy and Jerico Richardson, Harvard-Westlake's Josh Hearlihy, Notre Dame's Kennedy Edwards and Village Christian's Marquis Salmon.

The girls' all-star game is set for 5:30 p.m. at Pierce.
