Baseball: Paraclete’s James Cabrera is perfect

Lancaster Paraclete received a five-inning perfect game from pitcher James Cabrera in a 10-0 victory over Bishop. He struck out seven.

Paraclete (14-2) also received three hits from Mylz Jones.

Chatsworth Sierra Canyon (12-3) continues its rise under first-year Coach Rick Weber, winning its division of the Lions tournament in San Diego with a 9-1 win over Redding Enterprise. Brian Tucker threw a complete game and struck out six.

Bishop Amat defeated Bishop Montgomery, 8-1.
