Baseball: Oaks Christian forfeits games because of ineligible player

Oaks Christian Athletic Director Jan Hethcock said Thursday the baseball team will forfeit nine games, including Tri-Valley League games against Malibu and Nordhoff, after discovering that one of its players participated in a club game in the San Bernardino-based ABD league, in violation of CIF rules.

Hethcock said the school received an anonymous phone call last week, confirmed the information and removed the player from the team.

Players aren't allowed to play in outside leagues during their season.
