Baseball: Cypress defeats Lakewood in matchup of top teams

Cypress came away with a 2-1 baseball victory over Lakewood on Saturday night in a matchup of top teams from Division 2 and Division 1.

Tyler Alamo had two hits for Cypress (21-5), which used four pitchers. IsaiahTerrazas got the save. Lakewood dropped to 23-5.

Loyola improved to 18-6-1 with a 9-6 win over Mira Costa. Quinn Brodey had two hits, including a home run. Stephen Dubb had three RBIs.
