Girls' basketball: Mater Dei 42, Long Beach Poly 33

Santa Ana Mater Dei made a couple of three-pointers in the third quarter and leads Long Beach Poly, 42-33, going into the fourth quarter of the Division I Southern California Regional final.

There was a scary moment with 3:56 left in the third quarter when Poly's Keyla Morgan banged her head against a Mater Dei player, went down and appeared to suffer a seizure on the court. Morgan suffered a head injury earlier this season and was hospitalized but received clearance to resume playing. She was carried off on a stretcher.
