Girls' basketball: Laguna Hills down 34-14 at half

After a disastrous first eight minutes, Laguna Hills was outscored 16-8 in the second quarter and trails Oakland Bishop O'Dowd 34-14 at halftime of the CIF state Division III championship game at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento.

Forward Celia Marfone leads the Hawks with eight points and four rebounds, but they are shooting just four of 17 from the field and two of 10 from three-point range. They are also getting dominated on the glass, 18-8.

Junior forward Kendall Waters has 10 points to lead the Dragons, who have made 14 of 27 field goals and continue to get transition baskets off turnovers.
