So far, the Southern Section Division 1AA final looks like an instant classic. Led by eight points from its  senior forward Keitra Wallace, Brea Olinda leads Santa Ana Mater Dei, 29-25, at halftime.

The fifth-seeded Wildcats have gotten balanced scoring and are shooting 50% from the field. They are being out-rebounded 15-14 but are 4 of 9 from three-point range.

Khalia Lark has eight points for the second-seeded Monarchs, who are shooting 36.0% and are 3 of 11 from beyond the arc. Jordan Adams and Alexas Williamson have five points apiece for Mater Dei.
