Girls' basketball: Ashlie Bruner, Kim Pickett are co-MVPS

Ashlie Bruner of Palisades and Kim Pickett of Narbonne have been named co-players of the year in City Section girls' basketball.

First-team All-City picks were Ayisat Afolabi, Monroe; Donae Moguel, Palisades; Dana Haley, Fairfax; Tori Breshers, Narbonne; Ahlisha Henderson, Reseda; Brittany Byrd, Fairfax; Dioseline Lopez,  Garfield; MyAngel Johnson, University; Skai Thompson, Palisades; Cora Chan, El Camino Real; Jecenia Trinidad. Monroe, and Shannon Kingery- El Camino Real.

Palisades' Torino Johnson was named coach of the year.
