Girls’ basketball: Mitty holds on for 56-54 victory

Riverside North kept battling and battling but fell short, losing in the Division II state championship girls’ basketball game to San Jose Mitty, 56-54.
Kamille Diaz pulled North to within 55-52 with 15 seconds left by making a three-pointer.
But Emily Dinger, who finishd with 16 points, made one of two free throws with 11 seconds left to clinch the victory.
Priscilla Brooks had 11 points and 11 rebounds for North. Simone De Coud had 14 points.
