Former Harbor City Narbonne defensive back Nnamdi Asomugha is preparing to take a group of high-achieving students from underserved communities in Los Angeles, Oakland and Philadelphia on an all-expenses paid trip to Chicago to introduce them to local colleges and universities as part of his foundation to help students.

They leave next week. There are 10 students from Los Angeles representing Bishop Montgomery, Leuzinger and Narbonne.

It’s an impressive commitment on the part of Asomugha, who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.
