Boys' basketball: Xavier Johnson is reaching peak form for Mater Dei

Throughout the post season, Xavier Johnson of Santa Ana Mater Dei has been at the top of his game. He was at it again on Saturday night, scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to help the Monarchs defeat Fresno Bullard, 85-66, in the Division I Southern California Regional final at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

Mater Dei (33-2) will face Sacramento Sheldon in next Saturday's 8 p.m. final in Sacramento.

Stanley Johnson had 18 points and 10 rebounds, Katin Reinhardt had 15 points and Elijah Brown 14.

Aaric Armstead finished with 33 points for Bullard. Mater Dei outrebounded the Knights, 42-34.
