So much for an injured thumb.

Playing with his right thumb taped, senior guard Katin Reinhardt made a CIF Division I state finals record six three-pointers and finished with 30 points as Santa Ana Mater Dei cruised to a 66-48 victory over Sac-Joaquin Section champion Sacramento Sheldon at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento.

It is the Monarchs’ second consecutive state title and their record-setting ninth overall, breaking the mark they shared with Los Angeles Crenshaw. Mater Dei outscored Sheldon 21-10 in the fourth quarter.
