Boys’ basketball: Players of the year for Wooden Award are announced

The John R. Wooden Award Committee announced its high school basketball players of the year.

Taft’s Anthony January was chosen in the City Section.

Other winners: Mater Dei’s Katin Reinhardt (Division I), Mayfair’s Dion Wright (Division II), Alemany’s Marqueze Coleman (Division III), La Verne Lutheran’s Grant Jerrett (Division IV), St. Bernard’s Brandon Randolph (Division V) and Renaissance’s Jessy Cantinol (Division VI).
