Boys’ basketball: Eight ex-Taft players are on NCAA tournament teams

Fans of Woodland Hills Taft basketball can make out their NCAA playoff brackets knowing that eight former Taft players are on teams that made the NCAA tournament.

They include Spencer Dinwiddie (Colorado), Eugene Phelps (Long Beach State), Jordan Gathers (St. Bonaventure), DeAndre Daniels (Connecticut), Garrett Green (San Diego State), Justin Hawkins (UNLV), Mark Jackson Jr. (Louisville) and Pierson Williams (Loyola Maryland).

All played for former Taft Coach Derrick Taylor.
