Los Angeles Dorsey survived an early surge and trails heavily-favored Woodland Hills Taft by only four points, 21-17, at halftime of a low scoring City Section Division I final at Cal State Dominguez Hills. Dorsey has made only 6 of 26 shots (23.1%), but Taft is not much better, going 7 of 23 (30.4%).

The seventh-seeded Dons trailed 9-4 after the first quarter, but outscored Taft 11-10 in the second quarter as Rashard Clark tipped in a rebound just before the buzzer. Donald Muepo Jr. leads Dorsey with six points.

Anthony January has seven points and 11 rebounds to lead the top-seeded and defending champion Toreadors, who are out-rebounding Dorsey 26-13.
