Basketball: Championship Saturday set to tip off
The second day of the CIF state championships should be very exciting. Fans will be treated to a full slate of basketball at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, beginning with the Division V girls final between San Luis Obispo Mission Prep and Stockton Brookside Christian.
On Friday, Northern California teams won three of the four games. San Jose Archbishop Mitty swept the boys and girls Division II titles while Richmond Salesian defeated Los Angeles Price for the boys' Division IV crown. La Jolla Country Day notched the lone victory for Southern California with a 72-41 rout of Richmond Salesian in the Division IV girls game.

MORNING SESSION
Division V Girls: San Luis Obispo Mission Prep (32-1) vs. Brookside Christian (29-4), 9:30 a.m.
Division V Boys: Sun Valley Village Christian (32-3) vs. Alameda St. Joseph Notre Dame (29-4), 11:15 a.m.
Division III Girls: Laguna Hills (26-8) vs. Oakland Bishop O'Dowd (29-3), 1 p.m.
Division III Boys: Mission Hills Alemany (32-4) vs. San Francisco Sacred Heart Cathedral (28-5), 2:45 p.m.
EVENING SESSION
Division I Girls: Santa Ana Mater Dei (33-3) vs. Berkeley (29-2), 6 p.m.
Division I Boys: Santa Ana Mater Dei (33-2) vs. Sacramento Sheldon (29-5), 8 p.m.
