Baseball: St. John Bosco improves to 7-0

Sophomore pitcher Reid Budrovich stuck out six and allowed two hits in five scoreless innings to help Bellflower St. John Bosco defeat North Torrance, 7-2.

The Braves improved to 7-0.

Long Beach Wilson (4-1) defeated Tustin, 3-1, behind Ryan Emma, who allowed one unearned run. Kyle Salaya got the save. Brett Harper went three for four.

Aliso Niguel (3-0) got a complete game from freshman Kyle Molnar to defeat Cypress, 3-0.

Santa Barbara improved to 4-0 with a 4-0 win over San Luis Obispo. Kenny Crawford threw a complete game, scattering 10 singles. Johnny Brontesema hit a two-run home run. Max St. John had a two-run single.

Chaminade split a doubleheader with Hart, losing the first game, 12-6, and winning the second game, 5-0, behind junior pitcher Kevin Lewallyn, who hasn’t given up a run in 15 innings this season. Sophomore Darren Kriz of Chaminade is 17 for 20 this season hitting, including a streak of 10 consecutive hits.

Art Moran-Vidrio struck out 11 in six innings of Orange Lutheran’s 3-0 win over Crescenta Valley.

Long Beach Poly defeated Whittier California, 17-1. Xavier Lavelle had three hits and Jeff Turley and Frankie Rios had three RBIs each.
