Baseball: Raul Camas pitches Chatsworth past Santa Barbara

Raul Camas, an All-City outfielder who couldn’t make it out of the seventh inning in a game earlier this week against Banning when brought in as the closer, threw a complete-game seven-hitter on Saturday as Chatsworth defeated Santa Barbara, 10-1.

Chris DeVito continued his hot hitting with three hits. Hayden Tsutsui added two hits.

El Camino Real defeated Camarillo, 10-6. Andrew Casarez got the win in relief. Nick Snyder had three RBIs and Mason Novak two RBIs. Alemany defeated San Pedro, 7-2. Simi Valley defeated Cleveland, 6-2. Phil Bickford struck out 15 in a 4-3 Oaks Christian victory over Long Beach Wilson.

In the Trinity League, St. John Bosco defeated Santa Margarita, 8-0. Rene Medina threw five shutout innings. Mickey Duarte had a home run, double and single and three RBIs. Ty Moore threw six shutout innings in Mater Dei’s 4-0 win over Servite. Austin Monte and Ryan Barr had two hits apiece.

Capistrano Valley won two tournament games, beating Burbank, 11-4, and Gardena Serra, 7-0. Granada Hills defeated Rio Mesa, 5-0. Edgar Rosales allowed four hits in a complete game.

In the San Fernando tournament, Royal defeated Roosevelt, 5-1. Atherton Kniseley had a double and home run. Agoura defeated San Fernando, 2-1. Henry Baker got the win and Tyler Cohen the save. Freshman Bryce Fehmel had two hits. Van Nuys defeated Grant, 7-3. Leo Alcala pitched six innings and went three for three.

Birmingham defeated Narbonne, 8-7. Randy Medellin had three hits and two RBIs.
