Baseball: National Classic is set for April 9-12

The 16-team Hard 9 National Classic, set for April 9-12 in Orange County, will include more than 30 players who have committed to Division I schools. Teams will come from California, Utah, Virginia, Florida, Nevada and Arizona.

Among the local teams entered are Alemany, Bishop Amat, Esperanza, El Dorado, Cypress, El Toro, Ocean View and Chaminade.

Action begins on Monday, April 9, and ends on Thursday, April 12, with the 7:30 p.m. championship game at Cal State Fullerton.
