Football: Russell Shaw is out as coach at West Adams

Russell Shaw, who guided Los Angeles West Adams to a second-place finish in the Coliseum League and a first-ever victory over Crenshaw, has been told he won't return as head coach. He just completed his second season.

"They just said they want to go in a different direction," Shaw said.

The school has begun advertising for a new coach. West Adams finished 6-6 this past season.
