Boys’ basketball: There will be a public school left in 4AA

After Friday night’s playoff games in Southern Section Division 4AA, there will be at least one public-school team still alive.

You can thank snow for the reason. The Big Bear-Banning first-round game was postponed Wednesday and Thursday because of the weather and will be played Friday at 6 p.m. at Big Bear. The winner will advance to a second-round game against La Verne Lutheran on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the University of La Verne.
