Boys’ basketball: The Gor Plavchyan update

Much is at stake in the City Section Division III playoffs, with quarterfinal games scheduled for Wednesday, and top-seeded Van Nuys Grant is hopeful of getting back 6-foot-7 Gor Plavchyan for its game against visiting Chatsworth.

Plavchyan has missed the last two games with a high ankle sprain. Coach Howard Levine said on Sunday there was a ‘60%’ chance Plavchyan will play against the Chancellors.

WIthout Plavchyan, it remains to be seen if Grant can beat Chatsworth, led by Terrell Funches.
