Boys’ basketball: Landon Drew is offered by Cal State Northridge

College interest is picking up for the Los Angeles Fairfax senior guard duo of Landon Drew and Brendyn Taylor.

Coach Harvey Kitani said Drew has been offered a scholarship by Cal State Northridge, which already signed All-City guard Donovan Johnson of Palisades.

Taylor is setting up recruiting visits to St. Mary’s and Wyoming and a recruiter from USC watched practice on Monday.

The two guards could receive plenty of attention depending on how they perform in the City Section Division I playoffs that begin on Friday. Fairfax is seeded No. 2 and opens at home against Roybal.
