Boys’ basketball: Grant advances to Division III final

Gor Plavchyan scored the first nine points of the game, and top-seeded Van Nuys Grant defeated Banning, 76-64, in a City Section Division III semifinal game. The Lancers will play Bell in the championship game.
Plavchyan finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Travis Wilson added 17 points.
